Come join Us At The “Ehrentag” 2026

“For you. For us. For everyone.” This is the motto under which the National Day of Recognition (Ehrentag) is being held for the first time this year. Initiated by Federal President Frank-Walter Steinmeier, we will be celebrating social cohesion and community spirit in Germany on May 23rd!

What are we planning?

We invite you to join our interactive campaign at the Karneval der Kulturen (Carnival of Cultures) in Berlin!

Who will be there?

We are young and older volunteers from the association Young and Old for One World – Jung und Alt für eine Welt e.V.

Why are we participating?

Together, we want to create a just world worth living in. To achieve this, we want to hear your perspectives and generate new ideas.

What is it about?

Come by to exchange ideas and learn more about:

  • Intergenerational community
  • Intercultural cooperation
  • Our project work in Malawi

Where can you find us?

Karneval der Kulturen – Site Plan: Zukunfts(t)raum at Bücherlplatz, 10961 Berlin. Just drop by; no registration is necessary. Further information can be found here.
