Every Contribution Counts
Your donation benefits the people of Malawi 100%. A sponsorship for medical aid, the soup kitchen for children or one child’s school attendance (secondary) costs 25 euros per month. An annual sponsorship costs 300 euros.
Alternatively, you can donate any amount for the construction of the kindergarten, school, hospital or training workshops. Co-financed building materials include windows, wooden and steel doors, flooring, wall tiles and sanitary facilities.
An orientation using the example of brick packages: One square meter of double-layered brickwork costs 100 euros:
Donate 200 self-produced bricks for 200 euros (for comparison: 200 new bricks cost 380 euros).
Donate 500 self-produced bricks for 500 euros (in comparison: 500 new bricks cost 950 euros).
Since 2021, only bricks pressed from earth, sand and concrete have been permitted in public buildings for wood protection and climate protection reasons. The bricks are produced in the village, so each donation creates or maintains jobs.
YOOW e.V. is a non-profit organization and is entitled to issue donation receipts for submission to your tax office.

Our donors and funding partners are German ministries, charitable foundations and individuals. Internships
YOOW e.V. offers full or part-time internships for students from fields of development cooperation, ethnology, political, social, regional or communication sciences, or other related disciplines. Internship tasks can be defined together according to personal strengths and interests and may include, for example, an introduction to funding partnerships and application procedures, conducting desk research on selected issues in development cooperation, public relations, and communication with local partners, website design, event planning, and much more.
