A Donors Impact in Malawi

It was a big surprise when my physical therapist, whom I told about my trip to Malawi the day after next while lying on the massage table, pressed a few bills into my hand as I was leaving. In the village, it was said that Coretta could no longer work on the board because her husband was ill. I visited the couple and found myself standing in a house without a roof. Termites had hollowed out the wood, and a storm had done the rest.

With the donation money, I was able to hire craftsmen, and two days later, these good people had a new roof. The high pressure they were under because they didn’t have the money and the rainy season was approaching had made the man ill. He soon recovered, and Coretta continues to work on the board. Thank you very much, dear W. in Berlin!
